In Germany, the readiness of Nord Stream-2 was assessed

The degree of readiness of the pipeline “Nord Stream-2” can be estimated at 97%, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the message of the Prime Minister of the German Federal State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Manuel Schleswig.
During the Bundestag hearings on energy issues, she noted that the gas pipeline is a major infrastructure project for the region.
At the same time, the Head of the Federal Land called “monstrous” threats by the USA to the port of Mukran, where they are laying pipes for the project.
“The fact that the USA … threaten the management and staff of the small port of Mukran, although they’ve done nothing illegal – they’re laying pipes for the pipeline, which is legal by law, that these threats are possible from a friendly nation, to which we owe this year’s 30th anniversary of the unification of Germany, it’s monstrous, and I expect your support for the citizens of our country,” Schleswig said at the pipeline implementation hearing.

The Nord Stream-2 project envisages the construction of a 55 billion cubic meters per year gas pipeline from the Russian coast to Germany. It is actively opposed by the USA promoting its liquefied natural gas to the EU, as well as by Ukraine and a number of European countries.
On Thursday afternoon, Radio Sputnik reported that the European Parliament called for a halt to the completion of “Nord Stream-2” because of the situation around Alexei Navalny.
And from the short audio clip below you will learn why Nord Stream pisses off Americans and why construction is hindered in Europe.
