In the city of Philipsburg, Germany, today the cooling towers of a decommissioned nuclear power plant were blown up. It is reported by SwrAktuell.

“Today at 6:05 two cooling towers of the nuclear power plant were blown up,” the report said.

In order to better control the fall, special slots were made in the outer shell of the 152-meter towers, in which explosives were laid. The explosion was prepared for four years.
