In Mali, three UN peacekeepers died in an explosion

A detachment of peacekeeping forces was attacked while patrolling near the village of Agelhock in the Kidal area.
An explosion occurred in northeast Mali that claimed the lives of three UN peacekeepers. On Monday, May 11, Xinhua reports with reference to the communiqué of the UN Multidisciplinary Integrated Mission (MINUSMA) for stabilization in this African country. the use of an explosive device, as a result of which three soldiers were killed, four more were seriously injured. The wounded were taken to the hospital.

There is no official data on the citizenship of the dead peacekeepers. According to local media reports, they were military personnel from Chad.

The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Mali, the head of MINUSMA, Mahamat Saleh Annadif, categorically condemned this attack. According to him, all efforts will be made to establish the real facts of the incident and bring to justice its instigators.

Earlier it became known that on May 1, a Ukrainian foreign brigade leader, Ukrainian Dmitry Martynyuk, died in a military hospital in the city of Clamart near Paris from injuries during a military operation in Mali.
