In Minsk one hundred thousand rally, up to 100 detainees

About 100 thousand people took part in the protest action against Alexander Lukashenko’s regime in Minsk on Sunday, September 27, and dozens of people were detained, reports the Belarusian service of Radio Liberty and portal TUT.BY.

The column of protesters is moving along Independence Avenue. The convoy has occupied the entire roadway, while almost the entire Minsk is blocked.

According to the Human Rights Center in Spring, on Sunday at least 78 people were detained in different cities of Belarus. Belarusian Interior Ministry spokesman Olga Chemodanova said that more than a hundred people were detained on Sunday during unauthorized mass events in the country. She noted that the data will be specified later.
