The European Parliament reported the first death of an employee from a coronavirus.
In the European Parliament, one of the employees became infected with the coronavirus and died. On Monday, March 23, reports the head of the European Parliament’s Directorate-General for Human Resources Christian Knudsen, Politico reports.
“We are very sorry to inform you of the first death of our colleague from the European Parliament from COVID-19,” wrote Christian Knudsen, Director General of the European Parliament for Human Resources, in a letter to employees.
He noted that the deceased worked as a contractor in the Directorate-General for Innovation and Technology Support.
Recall, last week it was reported that the first deputy of the European Parliament became infected with the coronavirus. The disease was detected in Adam Yorubas.
