In the United States experienced a smart aerial bomb complex Golden Horde

In the United States, tests of the StormBreaker bomb, which is part of the Golden Horde (Golden Horde) semi-autonomous high-precision weapons complex, were tested, Forbes writes.

This week, the F / A-18E / F Super Hornet fighter first launched an aerial bomb during testing. StormBreaker has an intelligent automatic guidance system that allows it to deviate from the course, select and attack targets on its own.

StormBreaker can hit moving targets, vehicles, enemy tanks in bad weather, in smoke, and even in complete darkness.

Raytheon Air Warfare Systems, a development company, says its bomb will “change the rules of the game,” because it can find and hit targets on its own.

It is planned to equip the invisible fighters F-35 Lightning II, F-15E, and Super Hornet with these shells, as well as B-52, B-1B, and B-2 bombers. Due to the small weight of the projectile – 250 pounds (about 113 kilograms) – fighters can take on board more than 20 bombs, and bombers – almost 100. The testing of new weapons is planned to be completed before the end of 2020.

Earlier, President Donald Trump said that the United States is actively updating its arsenal of weapons and is developing the world’s fastest hypersonic missile.
