Interception over the Black Sea: Su-27P and Su-30SM drove US bombers from Russian borders

Russian fighters escorted US bombers over the Black Sea and forced them to turn away from the Russian borders.

Russian Su-27P and Su-30SM fighters forced US strategic bombers, B-1B Lancer, to turn away from the borders of Russia. Details of the incident over the Black Sea were told in the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

It is reported that the Su-27P and Su-30SM fighters were lifted into the air after radars fixed American military aircraft over the Black and Baltic Seas. Russian aircraft identified the target as strategic bombers of the United States B-1B. The fighters took them to escort and forced to leave the Russian borders.

The incident was already commented on by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov. He noted that the appearance of US bombers near Russian borders creates additional tension in relations between the two countries.
