Iran struck a cargo ship belonging to the Israeli company XT Management, Israeli TV Channel 12 reported.
“A container ship en route from Tanzania to India with cargo was struck early in the morning by a missile fired by the Iranian military in the Arabian Sea. The ship was damaged, but continued on its way to the port of destination,” the channel said.
The channel notes that the ship belongs to the Israeli company XT Management, whose office is located in Haifa. Company owner Udi Angel has been notified of the incident. The security forces received a message about the incident and, in the light of several similar incidents in the recent past, they are trying to assess whether Iran has opened a new front against Israel at sea, the publication says. The vessel will continue its route, with repairs planned in India.
