Iran told of Trump’s “death”

U.S. President Donald Trump, whose term ends on January 20, “died as a politician. This was said by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, his speech on local TV quoted by the media.

Rouhani added that he was glad for the “death” of the American politician and called him a tyrant. “The political isolation of the U.S. is Trump’s legacy, the U.S. has found itself alone in its politics,” the Iranian leader stressed.

In mid-October 2020, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayeh said that the country would be helped “only by God’s help” if Trump is re-elected.

Biden’s inauguration is scheduled for noon on January 20 (8 p.m. Moscow time). Vice President Mike Pence, among others, has been invited to the event. At the same time, Biden called Trump’s decision not to attend the event, which he stated earlier, a good one. In Washington, D.C., heightened security measures have been taken in connection with the inauguration. Much of downtown adjacent to the White House and Congress is closed to traffic. Capitol Hill is cordoned off and access is restricted.
