Iran vows to ‘cut foot’ of US in Middle East

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani addressed the United States and promised to “cut off the leg” of Washington in the Middle East in response to the “cut off” in the form of the assassination of General Kasem Suleimani. This is reported by Reuters.

Rouhani is said to have spoken at a cabinet meeting after Iran launched missile strikes against U.S. targets in Iraq, which Tehran said was a response to the U.S. drone strike that killed Suleimani.8 In January, the IRGC attacked two U.S. air bases and announced the start of Operation Suleimani’s Martyr against the military involved in the death in Baghdad of General Kasem Suleimani, commander of the Al-Quds special forces. Dozens of surface-to-surface missiles were fired at U.S. targets in Iraq.

Iran’s leadership said it had prepared 13 revenge scenarios for Suleimani’s murder. US President Donald Trump has warned that the U.S. military will strike 52 targets on Iranian territory if Tehran responds.
