Electric motors are used everywhere today, from trolleybuses to scooters.
Almost silent, aesthetic, environmentally neat. Is it possible to connect an electric motor and a surfboard?
The Chinese at eFoilFly tried it, and they got a product called Neptun X.
If you look from above, then this is a regular surfboard made of coal and fiberglass, and if from the side or from the bottom, we will also see a keel with a hydrofoil.
The dimensions of the board are 1.68×1.1 m with a weight of 36.3 kg. And that same electric motor with a power of up to 12 kW is attached to a removable underwater 80-centimeter wing.
It is enough to stand on the board, press the button on the remote control and the Neptun X will begin to move together with a person weighing up to 130 kg. The unique properties of the surf turn it into a real hydrofoil boat. The higher the speed, the higher it rises above the water due to the wing and the lower the resistance of the water element. This achieves a speed of 45 km / h and a full sensation of soaring flight over the waves. Battery power lasts 80 minutes.
