Hospitalized after infection with coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 U.S. President Donald Trump feels good and controls the situation. This has been made public by his national security advisor Robert O’Brien, TOP NEWS reports.
“I spoke to the White House chief of staff, there is good news: the president feels very well. He actually wants to get back to the White House, to work,” O’Brien said and noted that Trump will stay in the hospital for a while.
“The president is firmly in charge of the country,” the advisor added. When asked whether the head of state was planning any transfer of power in case of complications in his illness, he answered evasively: he emphasized that the authorities had plans for any cases, but so far it was not a possibility that was under consideration.
It is known that in case of Trump’s incapacity due to possible serious illness, the presidential powers will be transferred to Vice President Mike Penns, and if he falls ill, the speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi.
The American leader reported a positive coronavirus test on October 2. His wife Melanie Trump was also diagnosed with the disease. The president promised to start treatment and quarantine immediately.
