Italy has seen a record increase in coronavirus since May

New cases of coronavirus in Italy have risen to their highest level in almost three months.
In Italy, 629 cases of coronaviruses were recorded during the day, which is the highest number since May 23, according to data of the Ministry of Health of the country, published on Saturday, August 15. The total number of COVID-19 infections in the country reached 253,438. The previous day, the growth rate was 574, the highest since May 28.

Four people died in 24 hours, and 35,392 died during the whole day of the pandemic.

However, the current statistics included updated data from the Emilia-Romagna region, which has become one of the most affected regions of the country. Local health authorities reported that 154 cases had not been reported in the three spring months as a result of internal checks.

It should be noted that Ukraine has been recording a record daily increase in coronavirus for three days. Thus, out of 89,719 coVID-19 patients in Ukraine, 1,847 infected people were found in the last 24 hours.
A total of 2,044 patients with coronavirus died in the country, 33 of them in the last 24 hours. 47,430 patients recovered, including 633 in the last 24 hours.
