Kentucky protesters damage Louis XVI statue

During protests in Kentucky, a historic statue of Louis XVI was damaged. This is reported by TMZ.

So one of the rioters stood on a pedestal next to the statue when a crowd surrounded the monument.

After some time, the man jumped, pulling a part of the arm of the monument to Louis XVI.

As a result, a piece of hand was broken off to the wrist of the statue. According to media reports, the demonstrator soon disappeared with a fragment of the statue.

This is taking place against the backdrop of riots in the United States due to the murder by a police officer of African American George Floyd in Minneapolis on May 25. On that day, a police officer during the detention kneeled on the man’s neck. Floyd shouted that he was choking, but law enforcement authorities did not pay attention to it. As a result, the man died in intensive care.
