Large-scale update for Windows 10 released

Microsoft has released a major update for the Windows 10 operating system. The new version is called the Windows 10 May 2020 Update, The Verge portal reports.
The main update in May was the Windows Subsystem for Linux 2 (WSL 2) – the second version of the Linux subsystem for Windows with a custom Linux kernel – and improvements related to the Cortana voice assistant. The integration of Linux simplifies the life of developers and significantly improves the performance of the subsystem in Windows 10. In the next updates, the company promises to add support for a graphical interface for applications and hardware acceleration of graphics.

In addition, to install the operating system, you no longer need a drive with a Windows 10 image or a backup, since it can be downloaded from the cloud.
The developers also reduced the load on the disks and the processor when indexing files and fixed problems with search performance.
All optional updates are collected in the menu “View optional updates”, which is located in the “Windows Update”. The user himself can choose what exactly he needs to install for work.
In addition, the new Windows 10 contains a new display driver that improves gaming performance.
Windows 10 May 2020 Update will be available for download in the next few weeks through Windows Update for free
