President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will deliver a message to the people of Belarus and the National Assembly of Belarus in a week and a half. This is reported by the National Legal Portal of Belarus.
Today Lukashenko signed a decree on convening an extraordinary session of the Council of the Republic and the House of Representatives of Belarus in Minsk on August 3 in order to hear his annual message to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly of Belarus, as well as to consider other issues.
The next presidential elections are scheduled for August 9 in Belarus. Lukashenko said last week that those who imposed sanctions on Belarus, tilted it, and organized an attack by aggressive militants on the House of the Government of Belarus in 2010, still want to bring Belarus to its knees, undermine the situation and overthrow the government.
Then he said that the fate of Belarus is in the hands of its citizens and this is especially important during the pre-election period.
