In the North-Kazakhstan region bordering Russia, more than 600 domestic hens died for an unknown reason. Kazinform reports this with reference to the prosecutor’s office.
The death rate of poultry is observed in six settlements of the region. The dead chickens were burned and disinfection works were carried out in the yards of poultry owners.
“The veterinary service took the blood and insides from birds for analysis. Samples were sent to the branch of the “Republican Veterinary Laboratory” to study and establish the cause of death. The prosecutor’s office of the region took the situation under control,” – the report says.
Tests are continuing. Inhabitants of the region are asked not to panic.
As reported by EADaily, at the beginning of the year an outbreak of chicken flu was observed in Ukraine. Then Kazakhstan banned the import of poultry meat from this country.
