Media: U.S. plane destroyed in Iran attack

According to Al-Mayadeen, one of the planes was lost while on the runway of Ain Asad airbase, which is located in Iraq. It is said to have been destroyed by a missile launched from Iranian territory.

According to information provided by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, there were 35 strikes on two U.S. military installations. At the same time, Fox News reports with reference to the Pentagon about 15 ballistic missiles fired by Tehran, of which 11 hit the target. There are no casualties among the U.S. military, but it is said that the Iraqis were injured.

At the same time, American combat aircraft stationed in the UAE were raised into the air. Iran’s air force took off as a retaliatory measure.

The attack on U.S. military bases coincided with the funeral of Kasem Suleimani, one of Iran’s most prominent military figures killed in a Washington-sponsored attack. The timing of the attack on U.S. bases corresponds to the time of his death. By now, Suleimani’s body had been laid to rest in his hometown.
