Militants attacked a hospital in Kabul

The medical facility was supported by Doctors Without Borders. The attack killed five people, media reported.
In Kabul, Afghanistan, five civilians died and four were injured in a militant attack on a hospital. This was reported by TOLO News on Tuesday, May 12.

Channel 1TV reports that a suicide bomber detonated a bomb at the entrance to the hospital, and then militants burst into the hospital building. Only part of the medical staff managed to leave the building.
The medical facility is supported by the international humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders (MSF). It is noted that a special police unit has already arrived.

In turn, the Taliban denied any involvement in the attack, the channel reports.


Recall that earlier in Afghanistan released hundreds of captured Taliban. In total, under the agreement, the Afghan authorities intend to free about one and a half thousand Taliban.

It was also reported that in Afghanistan 18 soldiers died in an explosion at a checkpoint. The explosion occurred the day before in Helmand province. A car bomb exploded near the Afghan National Army checkpoint.
