On March 13, in Kazakhstan, near the airport of Alma-Ata, an An-26 plane crashed on the route Nur-Sultan – Alma-Ata.
According to the press service of the airport on Facebook, the crash occurred at about 17:20 (14:20 Moscow time) during the landing approach. It was at this moment that communication with the aircraft was lost.
“The alarm was immediately announced, the airport emergency services went to the scene. According to preliminary information, the aircraft crashed at the end of the runway, ”the message says.
The international agency “Kazinform”, in turn, reported that there were six people on the plane, four of them died, two people were hospitalized in a regional hospital.
The Tengrinews edition in its Telegram channel clarified that the crashed plane was a military one and belonged to the National Security Committee (KNB).
The airport emergency services went to the crash site. According to preliminary data, the board crashed at the end of the runway.
The publication with reference to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan confirmed information about 4 dead and 2 injured in the accident. The survivors are reported to have been sent to a hospital in the Ili district. There is no information about their condition yet.
