Recently, protesters demolished statues of former presidents, whom they consider slaveholders, across the country.
In Portland, USA, protesters demolished a monument to the first US president, George Washington. A video of the incident was published on YouTube.
It is noted that at first a small group of protesters threw the US flag on the monument and set it on fire.
When the protesters became more, they tumbled down the Washington statue and painted it, inscribing, in particular, the inscription “1619” – the year when the first slaves arrived in America. It was previously reported that protesters demolished the monument to the Founding Father in the United States.
