125 people were detained at the protests in Minsk and other cities of Belarus, which are taking place on Sunday, August 30, RIA Novosti reports, citing the Belarusian Interior Ministry.
“125 citizens have been detained, against whom the administrative process has been initiated for participation in unsanctioned mass events,” the ministry spokeswoman said.
According to her, the security forces are taking all measures to maintain order and ensure public safety.
