Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refrained from shaking hands over the coronavirus during a visit to the Cave of the Patriarchs in the ancient part of Hebron. Video of the incident appeared on journalist Michael Shemesh’s Twitter account, and the video also shows the Prime Minister’s wife, Sara Netanyahu, being forced to explain that the decision not to shake hands with the politician’s supporters and believers is an ordered government to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection.
You can also hear someone shouting warnings not to shake the Prime Minister’s hand as he greets people.
In early February, it was reported that the Israeli authorities did not allow 35 Chinese citizens from Russia to enter the country. They were sent on a return flight to Moscow for fear of coronavirus spread. The Israeli nationals on the same plane were sent for medical examination.
