New York City authorities urge residents to exercise extreme caution and report any suspicious persons on the subway.
NYPD is investigating a series of armed attacks on people in subway trains and subway stations. It was reported Saturday, February 13, by The New York Daily News.
It is reported that over the past 24 hours, four people have become victims of the unknown maniac. Two died, two are in critical condition. All the victims suffered multiple stab wounds.
The attacks were carried out over a 14-hour period from Friday, February 12, to Saturday, February 13. The first murder was committed by a maniac at Washington Heights Station. The victim was a 40-year-old man. His body was found in the subway car on February 12 at 23.19 local time. The stabbing had taken place in the neck and chest.
About two hours later, the body of a 44-year-old woman was found on another train on the approach to Inwood. She was still alive. She was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition. Doctors reported that her entire body was deeply stabbed. The unfortunate woman could not be saved.
Police have since linked the two murders to attacks that had occurred earlier in the subway. The victim of the first, at the same Washington Heights station, was a 67-year-old man at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 12. According to him, an unidentified man suddenly jumped up to him and stabbed him in the knee while yelling “I’m going to kill you!” The wounded man fell down. Then the attacker stabbed him several more times in the buttocks. The victim was unable to describe it – it all happened too quickly.
The fourth attack took place at half-past two in the morning on February 13. The victim was a homeless man sleeping on the stairs of a subway station. He was stabbed four times in the back. Doctors are fighting for his life.
Police have not yet released the names of the dead and wounded. There is a theory that someone preys on homeless and poorly dressed people in the subway. It is possible that the killer is also a vagrant. However, the police allow other theories as well.
Recall that the American Samuel Little, who confessed to killing almost a hundred women, died at 81 years old.
