Palestine severs ties with Israel and U.S.

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas has announced the severance of all ties with Israel and the United States, including security cooperation, AFP reported.

Abbas made such a statement at a meeting of the Arab League in Cairo on February 1, a few days after Washington announced a “peace plan” to resolve the situation in the Middle East. no relations with you (Israel) and the United States, including on security cooperation,” the Palestinian leader said.

Abbas added that the U.S. plan “violates the Oslo agreements reached in Oslo in 1993 between Israel and Palestine and that the Palestinian decision is a consequence of the “renunciation of the signed agreements” by the United States and Israel.

The Palestinian leader also stated that Israel would have to be held accountable as a State occupying Palestinian territories and added that the Palestinians “will continue their legitimate struggle by peaceful means”.

Earlier it was reported that Trump presented the project “deal of the century”. The project was supported by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with Palestine rejecting the U.S. proposal.
