Pelosi explains why Trump’s speech was torn apart

The Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives stated that the President was destroying the truth and that his speech was a “disgrace”.
U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she tore the text of President Donald Trump’s address to the nation because he “destroyed the truth” in the statement. This was announced on Thursday, February 6, CNN reports.

It is noted that she said this during a closed session of Democrats.

During the meeting with the party members, the speaker gave a speech in which she stated that Trump’s speech was a “disgrace” because it contained many lies.

“He destroyed the truth, so I tore his speech,” Pelosi said.

Recall, the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi defiantly broke the paper with the speech of President Donald Trump after his speech to Congress with the annual address “On the state of the country.”

As soon as the U.S. president finished her speech, Pelosi, who was behind Trump, tore through a copy of the speech the president gave her at the beginning without shaking her outstretched hand.

Pelosi also said the move was still “polite given the alternatives available.”
