Russian Ambassador to Poland Sergei Andreev was summoned to the Polish Foreign Ministry, expressing protest over false accusations by Senator of the Federation Council Alexei Pushkov of carrying out “vile state policy.” About reports TASS.
Pushkov thus described on Twitter (the post has already been deleted) that Poland supposedly closed its airspace for the Russian Il-76, which delivered humanitarian aid to Italy. Polish authorities handed a letter to Speaker Valentina Matvienko asking Pushkov to refute his words. At the same time, Andreev noted that there were no appeals by the Russian side to the Polish authorities. At the end of March, Russia sent several Il-76 Air Transport Forces to Italy. They brought there about 100 Russian specialists in the field of virology and epidemiology, as well as eight medical and nursing teams.
