Pompeo made a provocative statement about the origins of Covid-19

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on January 16 that he has information about the origin of the Covid-19 coronavirus from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.

This statement by the American secretary of state came as World Health Organization inspectors were visiting China to investigate the origins of the virus, although the WHO inspectors themselves had publicly stated before the visit that they did not consider the Wuhan laboratory to be the source of the virus. From this point of view, Pompeo’s statement is blatantly provocative.

Pompeo called on WHO experts to “put pressure on local epidemiologists,” and on Chinese authorities to allow experts access to all facilities, laboratory data, eyewitnesses, and complainants.

“We have reason to believe that several researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology became ill as early as the summer of 2019 – before the first reported case of COVID-19,” the U.S. secretary of state said in a statement. In addition, Pompeo said the Wuhan Institute studied bat coronavirus RaTG13, and it is more than 96 percent similar to Covid-19.

Mike Pompeo accused the Wuhan Institute of Virology of collaborating with the PLA and said that numerous military studies were conducted there. The US Secretary of State believes that the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic could have been avoided if the Chinese authorities had invited global health experts to the epicenter of infection in time.

It is worth noting that the United States also conducts experiments with dangerous viruses and actively uses bats. As reported by the media, biologists of the U.S. federal agency “National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention” (CDC) have been conducting dangerous experiments with bats for more than five years. It turns out that entire colonies of bats are being raised in captivity in the United States. And at the BSL-4 highest biological defense laboratories, U.S. experts are infecting animals with deadly viruses to study how vectors of many infections cope and infections are transmitted. The CDC states that the bats are put to death after the experiments.

Recall also that immediately prior to the epidemic, the Chinese Wuhan hosted the International Army Games, which was also visited by a team from the Pentagon.
