Portuguese health worker, 41, dies two days after getting the Pfizer covid vaccine as her father says he ‘wants answers’

Portuguese healthcare worker Sonia Acevedo died suddenly 48 hours after being injected with the Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus vaccine. The Daily Mail writes about it.

The 41-year-old woman did not experience any side effects after her Dec. 30 vaccination but died suddenly on Jan. 1. The cause of death will be determined by an autopsy on Jan. 5 or 6.

According to Acevedo’s father, his daughter did not have any health problems. “She didn’t have any symptoms [after the vaccination]. I don’t know what happened. I want answers. I want to know what led to my daughter’s death,” Abilio Acevedo said.

The Portuguese Institute of Oncology in Porto, where the woman worked, confirmed that they had not received any complaints from her during the vaccination and for several hours after the injection. In addition to Acevedo, another 537 employees of the same institution received the vaccine.

The drug, developed by the U.S. Pfizer/BioNTech consortium, is currently the only coronavirus vaccine approved by the European Union. 200 million doses of the vaccine have been ordered for EU countries, and the purchase of another 100 million doses is under discussion.
