In Pakistan, on the border with India, there was an earthquake of magnitude 5.8. At least 19 people, including three children, were killed and more than 300 were injured, Geo TV reported on Tuesday, September 24.

According to the National Seismic Monitoring Center in Islamabad, the epicenter of the quake was 5 km north of Dzhelumi at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The tremors were felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Gaska, Peshawar, Chinioti, Mansehri, Batagram, Torghar, Mirpur, Bhimberi, Jelumi and Mundi Bahauddin.

A search-and-rescue operation is continuing in the area of the disaster, to which the military is involved.
