The wife of Juan Orlando Hernandez and his two assistants also fell ill
Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez said he has been diagnosed with coronavirus and is undergoing treatment and will work remotely and through his assistants.
“As the president of the country and a responsible citizen, I want to inform you that I started to feel some discomfort at the weekend, and today I was diagnosed with COVID-19,” Hernandez said on television.
Coronavirus was also detected in the wife of Hernandez and his two assistants. All of them undergo treatment.
In Honduras, 9656 cases of coronavirus were detected, 330 patients died.
