The Dukes of Sussex decided to limit themselves from the negativity they repeatedly received in comments.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided to finally give up social media and will no longer use Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. This was reported by the newspaper The Times, citing insider information.
It is noted that the couple has rejected social media as part of their “new progressive role” in the United States.
A source close to the couple revealed that the Dukes of Sussex has no plans to use social media for their new Archewell Foundation and is “very unlikely” to return to the platforms in a personal capacity.
The couple’s main account was @sussexroyal on Instagram, which has more than 10.4 million followers, but no new content has appeared there since March 2020.
As the newspaper points out, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle became frustrated with the “hate” they faced in the comments.
Recall, last October, Meghan Markle admitted to suffering from online bullying.
Earlier, it was reported that the Dukes of Sussex will be launching podcasts on Spotify, as well as creating their own awards show.
