Protest Against US Police Violence Held In Stockholm

Several thousand people in central Stockholm took part in a protest against police violence in the United States, clashes between protesters and police were recorded.
The main action took place from 18.00 to 20.00 local time on the central square of the city of Sergeltorg. After that, the protesters divided into groups and headed to different parts of the city. According to Aftonbladet, protesters clashed with a policeman at the T-Centrallen metro station, law enforcement officers used pepper spray.

In addition, a small group of protesters tried to break into the royal palace, but they were stopped by mounted police. At the moment, detainees are not reported.
Riots broke out in Minneapolis and several other US cities a week ago after the death of African American George Floyd at the hands of the police. Videos appeared on the Internet that showed that the police handcuffed Floyd, knocked him down and fell on him three, one of them stepping on his neck with his knee. Floyd on the video several times says that he can’t breathe, then calms down. He died in intensive care. After the riots started, four policemen were fired, and one of them was accused of negligence.
A few days later, protests took place in other countries.
