At a meeting with members of the board of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), Russian President Vladimir Putin urged businesses to provide employment for Russian citizens.
Speaking about the prospects for global economic recovery, the president noted that the economy may face new and acute problems. According to Putin, its recovery processes are fragile due to the pandemic.
“The epidemiological situation is complicated,” Putin emphasized. – In Russia and in many other countries, the number of people suffering from coronavirus is growing, and in a number of countries the so-called “lockdown” has been announced again, when enterprises, companies suspend their activities or switch to a remote mode of operation on a mass scale”.
The President reminded that it is important to preserve the employment and income of citizens and said that the fight against the pandemic requires coordinated actions of the state, business, public organizations, and citizens.
“Now, when business ties and the rhythm of work of enterprises are being tested, it is especially important to provide employment and income of our citizens, to protect the welfare of Russian families and their confidence in the future,” the President called.
