On the previous day more than 2 thousand cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Germany. The same situation is observed in the Czech Republic.
In Germany, 2194 new cases of coronavirus were detected the previous day – more than it was registered in April. DPA writes about it with reference to Robert Koch Institute on Thursday, September 17.
At the same time, it is much less than the indexes at the peak of the first wave – more than 6 thousand cases. About 266 thousand confirmed cases of coronavirus have been registered in Germany so far, 9371 people died.
Despite the upward trend in the daily number of infections since late July, the number of deaths remains low – only a few times more than 10 deaths per day were registered, although at the peak of the epidemic in Germany more than 300 patients died every day.
In turn, the Czech Republic for the first time since the beginning of the epidemic recorded more than 2 thousand new cases of coronavirus per day, reports Ceske Noviny. Thus, the day before the coronavirus was detected in the country in 2139 people, which is 464 more than the day before.
Now there are 17 619 active cases of coronavirus in the country, with the majority of infected people having the disease in a mild form.
At the same time, the number of hospitalizations is increasing – in the last week, the number of hospitalizations has increased by a third. 81 patients are in serious condition – this number has increased by a quarter in the last week.
Recall that Ukraine has a new record for COVID-19 diseases. Over the past 24 hours, the largest number of patients were found in the Kharkiv region, the Ternopil region and Kyiv.
It was also reported that the Supreme Council of Ukraine has a new record for coronavirus incidence. There are 656 people in the army suffering from coronavirus. At the same time, there are 789 more people on self-isolation.
