Russia blamed for 12 civilians killed in Syria

Russia has been accused of an air attack on Syria that killed 12 civilians. This is reported by Al Arabiya.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says the strikes hit two areas of the country. Ten people are reported to have been killed in attacks in the western part of Aleppo province, and two in the southeastern province of Idlib. Seven children were among the dead civilians. Russian agencies have not yet commented on this information.

In January, it was reported that four Russian officers were killed in a militant attack in the eastern Syrian province of Idlib. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the incident was reported by a source at Russia’s Khmeimim airbase.

The Russian Defense Ministry denied this information, calling it a fake. The military department noted that all Russian servicemen in the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic are alive, healthy and continue to carry out planned tasks as usual.
