Russia says NATO is strengthened 20 kilometers from its borders

NATO is intensifying its military activity 20-30 kilometers from the Russian borders. Valery Gerasimov, head of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces

“The growth of U.S. and NATO military activity is not in the Atlantic or Caribbean, but at a distance of 20-30 kilometers from the Russian borders,” Gerasimov said. He added that reports of Russia’s aggressive behavior that are spreading to NATO are false.

Earlier it was reported that U.S. strategic bombers conducted exercises in August and September, simulating attacks on military targets in southern Russia. In particular, the General Staff noted that the U.S. Air Force B-52H aircraft have worked out approaches to the frontiers of cruise missiles over the Black and Azov Seas with conventional missile strikes on facilities in the Southern Military District. It was specified there that the U.S. planes were approaching the border at a distance of 11 kilometers.
