On September 6, a telephone conversation took place between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. The Serbian leader spoke about the results of the meeting in Washington and the upcoming talks in Brussels.

“In the context of the clock check on the Kosovo issue, Russia’s position in favor of finding a lasting and lasting settlement on the basis of UN Security Council Resolution 1244 is emphasized,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
According to the ministry, both sides expressed “a focus on the full development of strategic partnership relations and political dialogue in accordance with the agreements of the presidents of the two countries.”

Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Sakharova apologized for her Facebook post in which she commented on the talks between Serbian leader Aleksandar Vucic and U.S. President Donald Trump. Posting a photo of the White House talks, with Vucic sitting on a small chair in front of Trump’s desk in the Oval Office, she attached a frame from the film “Basic Instinct” with a “foot-to-toe” scene. A commentary by Zakharova read: “If you were called to the White House, and the chair was placed as if you were being interrogated, sit down as a photo number two. Whoever you are. Just believe it.”

According to TASS, Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin, Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohi under the Serbian Cabinet Marco Djuric, as well as Vucic himself, criticized this iconic publication.
