The frigate “Admiral Essen” directly monitors the actions of the destroyer,” the center said.

The American destroyer Franklin Roosevelt, with guided-missile weapons on board, is on its way to the Black Sea for maritime security operations.
The U.S. Navy’s sixth navy said Tuesday the U.S. destroyer, Franklin Roosevelt, began its northward transition to the Black Sea on Sept. 15 for maritime security operations with NATO allies and partners in the region.

The fleet report noted that the American ship enters the Black Sea for the sixth time since the beginning of 2020. In July, the destroyer “Porter” entered the region within the framework of Sea Breeze – 2020 marine exercises.

On Monday, the NCSO of the Russian Federation informed that the forces of the Baltic Fleet tracked the actions of the destroyer with guided-missile arms of the U.S. missile defense “Ross” that entered the Baltic Sea on September 13.
