Russian Iskander complexes launched near Libya's borders

The resolution of the Egyptian parliament authorizing the start of the military operation in Libya gave an unexpected result. The deployment of Russian Iskander WASR has been observed near the Libyan border.

Several states in the region are involved in the armed conflict in Libya. As it turned out, not only Turkey but also Algeria, which, having Russian Iskanders, placed them near the border, thus warning the Egyptian Armed Forces about their use in the event of a military invasion of Libya, is on the side of the “Government of National Accord” (GNA).

At the moment, Algeria has four Russian-made operational and tactical systems and, in fact, is their monopoly on the African continent. If they are used, the Libyan National Army (LNA) Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, as well as Egyptian forces, will face serious challenges, as the Iskanders are designed to destroy the command centers of the likely enemy.
