At least 12 Russians vacationing in Turkey have contracted the coronavirus, said the ambassador to Ankara, Aleksey Yerkhov.
“Two of them are in hospital, ten are in isolation in a hotel,” the diplomat said on the air of the Russia 24 channel.
The ambassador urged compatriots traveling to Turkey to be sure to purchase insurance that covers treatment for coronavirus and diseases caused by it. According to Yerkhov, one of the hospitalized Russians had a problem due to the lack of such a policy, but, nevertheless, he was provided with medical assistance.
On August 1, Russia began to restore air traffic with foreign countries. Flights to Great Britain, Turkey, Tanzania, and Switzerland have already been resumed, restrictions on crossing the border with Abkhazia have been lifted.
