The high-precision operational and tactical missile system of the ground forces is designed for covert training and effective missile strikes on particularly important and small enemy objects in the depths of the operational construction of its troops. It is capable of hitting various targets, including fire, missile defense, and air defense systems, as well as aircraft at airfields.
The Iskander missile takes the combat part of the complex to an altitude of 50-55 kilometers, where it cannot be hit by any air defense system. The complex has high mobility, and the probability of its detection by the enemy is extremely low. Within one minute, it is able to release a set of two missiles and immediately leave the scene of the attack, disabling all the devices.
The trajectory of the rocket is difficult to predict – after the launch and when approaching the target, it maneuvers intensively. To intercept it, the enemy missile must withstand an overload two to three times the size of the Iskander missile, which is technically impossible today.
This system is deployed in a number of regions of Russia, including the Kaliningrad region.
The complex is equipped with a unified supersonic self-guided anti-ship missile “Onyx”. Bastion-P was designed to destroy surface ships of all classes and types from ship and aircraft carrier strike groups, amphibious assault units, convoys, as well as separate single ships and ground-based radiocontrast targets in the conditions Intensive
The weapons system is capable of protecting the coast of more than 600 km from possible amphibious operations of the enemy.
Deployment of the complex in combat positions is carried out within only five minutes of receiving the order on the march. After that, Bastion-P is ready to fire.
