Samsung will release a new version of the rugged Quantum series smartphone. Reported by the South Korean edition of Naver.
Insiders said that the company has already completed the assembly of the device and the device will be on sale before the end of the month. The Galaxy Quantum 2 features a quantum random number generator powered by a dedicated chip. Due to the fact that the processor is separate from other components of the phone, it is difficult to hack it. According to the authors, the quantum chip is responsible for the increased safety of data in the memory of the gadget. Galaxy Quantum 2 has the same dimensions as the flagship of the company Galaxy S21 +. In addition, the device also received a triple main camera with a vertical orientation. The main lens of the camera has a resolution of 64 megapixels. According to the declassified data, the device came out with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with support for a frequency of 120 hertz.
The phone received a Snapdragon 888+ chip, which was used mainly in flagship smartphones in 2020, 6 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of internal memory, a battery with a capacity of 4500 milliampere-hours.
The device will be released on April 23rd. The cost of Galaxy Quantum 2 has not been disclosed.
The first Samsung smartphone with a quantum chip – Galaxy A Quantum – was unveiled in May 2020. The device received a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, an Exynos 980 chip, a four-lens camera with a resolution of 64, 12, 5, and 5 megapixels, a 4500 milliampere-hour battery.
