U.S. Senate Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has not decided how he will vote at the impeachment hearing for incumbent President Donald Trump. This was reported by Reuters, citing McConnell’s letter to other Republicans.
“I haven’t decided how I’m going to vote yet,” the senator noted in his address.
He also stressed that he intends to listen to arguments in favor of impeachment.
On January 6, supporters of incumbent U.S. President Donald Trump stormed the building of the U.S. Congress, interrupting the session at which the parliament was to approve the results of the past election.
Five people were killed as a result of the incident. After the riots in Washington, Jerry Nadler, head of the House Judiciary Committee, proposed to impeach Trump in a simplified procedure.
