Ukraine’s attempt to challenge the authority of the Russian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) was inappropriate. This was stated by the Dutch senator and head of the United European Left group Tini Cox, TASS reports.
“For our group, it is obvious that this is the wrong moment to challenge the authority,” he said.
According to the senator, Kyiv’s actions are inappropriate given the committees’ forthcoming reports on the situation in Russia.
Earlier, some representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) did not confirm the credentials of the Russian delegation at the winter session. In particular, the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Marya Mezentseva, suggested challenging the rights of the Russian delegation.
