Serbia asked for help from Russia to combat coronavirus

The Serbian government has asked for help from Russia to combat the coronavirus. This was reported by the Telegram channel “First of all. Almost”.

According to TASS, the corresponding decision was made at a meeting of the Serbian Cabinet of Ministers. It is noted that specific assistance was requested under an agreement between countries on cooperation in the field of emergency humanitarian response.

At the end of March, Russia sent several military transport aircraft Il-76 Aerospace Forces (VKS) to Italy. They brought there about 100 Russian specialists in the field of virology and epidemiology, as well as eight medical and nursing teams.

According to the latest data, 384 cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in Serbia, one case was fatal. There are more than half a million infected people in the world. Of these, more than 23 thousand died, more than 120 thousand were cured.
