Stephen Stamkos will miss the first game of the Stanley Cup final with Dallas.

Tampa Bay Lightning hockey player Stephen Stamkos will miss the first game of the Stanley Cup final with the Dallas Stars, said lightning general manager Julien Brisbois.
The first match of the NHL playoff final series will take place on September 19.
“It is still recovering. We haven’t ruled him out, but I’m not expecting him tomorrow as a member,” said Brisbois, who is quoted by the NHL website.
Stamkos underwent surgery in early March and then suffered a lower-body injury in anticipation of a training ground before the season resumed, interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier this week, Tampa’s head coach John Cooper reported that the 30-year-old forward resumed training on ice.
Stamkos scored 66 points (29 washers + 37 assists) in 57 games this season.
