A channel with 500,000 subscribers received a red flag. The messenger urged users to be careful, especially if the user starts asking for money.
The Telegram messenger administration marked the Donald J. Trump channel as fraudulent and published a corresponding warning for users.
“Warning: many users have reported that this account belongs to scammers. Please be careful, especially if you are asked for money,” the message noted.
Also, a red “scam” icon appeared next to the account name.
At the moment, more than half a million people are subscribed to the channel. However, there is no official confirmation that it belongs to Trump.
The channel published reposts of Trump’s messages on Twitter and official White House press releases.
As reported, the popularity of Telegram began to grow after the blocking of the account of U.S. President Donald Trump on Twitter and the removal of the social network Parler from the App Store and Google Play, which was used by his supporters.
