On October 1 Von der Leyen took a negative test for coronavirus and today a new test will be held.

The president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen switched to the regime of self-isolation which will last till October 6. She informed about it on Monday, October 5: “I was informed that I participated in the meeting last Tuesday where the person who received positive result at COVID-19 yesterday was present”, – noted the head of EC.

She specified that on October 1 she passed a negative test for coronavirus, and today she will pass a new test. “That is why according to current rules I will isolate myself till tomorrow morning”, – explained the head of EC.

We remind that earlier the president of the Council of Europe Charles Michel left for quarantine because of his contact with a security guard who got sick with coronavirus.
