The head of the Military Committee said the pandemic did not affect NATO operations

The pandemic does not affect NATO operations, including the deployment of multinational forces in the Baltic states and Poland. This was announced on Thursday by the head of the Alliance’s Military Committee, Stuart Peach, at a video briefing following the first-ever online session of this committee at the level of chiefs of the general staff of member countries.

“The pandemic does not affect NATO’s key operations, including the deployment of multinational battalion groups in Eastern Europe, the air patrol mission in the Baltic countries, the missions in Afghanistan and Kosovo,” he said.
